Gluten Steaks

Cameron always requests these when he comes home from college. Everyone loves these and will eat the whole batch in one sitting if we don’t make sure we have other things that they love to eat (and which will fill them up). So we usually have mashed potatoes, salad and bread.  

Gluten Broth

  • 8 cup Water
  • ¼ cup Soy Sauce (Bragg’s)
  • 2 pkg. George Washington Broth
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder

Gluten

  • 2 cups warm water
  • ⅓ cup soy sauce
  • 3 pkg. George Washington Broth
  • ½ tsp. onion powder
  • ¼ tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 3 cups Do-pep (gluten) add last

Stir quickly and knead. Cut into four long pieces and then cut into patty shapes and boil in broth for one hour. Dip in Brewer’s Yeast and fry or use as gluten in recipes.
