Make tiny balls, wrap in plastic wrap and hand on the Christmas tree. Ingredients 1/3 c. light corn syrup 1/3 c. water 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt ¼ c. margarine 1 tsp. vanilla 14 c. popped corn (hot air) Combine syrup, water, sugar, salt

  • 1 bowl of cooked rice (white or brown-enough to feed your dinner guests)
  • 1 bowl of cooked lentils.

Toppings (in separate serving bowls)

  • Chopped cucumbers
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Chopped green onions
  • Sliced water chestnuts
  • Chopped lettuce
  • Grated cheese
  • Chow Mein Noodles
  • Sour cream
  • Soy Sauce or Bragg’s
  • Salsa

Set it all up buffet style and everyone can create their own version of Chinese Haystacks. In your bowl you put a layer of rice, a layer of lentils and then the toppings. Top with sour cream and salsa.

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • ¾ tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 ¼ cups milk
  • ¾ cups oil

Mix dry ingredients. Combine remaining ingredients and add just before baking, beating only until moistened (batter is thin). Bake in preheated baker. Makes 10–12 waffles

  • 1 roll of chicken soy meat
  • ½ cup dried bread crumbs
  • 7 oz. Tartex
  • 6 Tbsp. potato flour
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • ½ cup celery (~2 stalks)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice

Put in blender and blend. Bake at 375° F for 45 minutes. Serve with tartar sauce.
